We believe in the real ‘power of the people’.

socialgandhi is an independent, non party-political online movement that believes in the power of people to change things in Northern Ireland.

The power to change things in big ways and small; things that matter to us, our families and our communities.

We believe that people can think and speak for themselves.

We believe that it is our right to think and speak for ourselves, and to be heard.

And we believe that there’s never been a better time to speak up for ourselves.

Now is the time to show what the real power of people can do. We are ‘the many’. That’s why the politicians need us more than we need them. But we have to speak up now and keep on speaking!

The future depends on what we do in the present.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Imagine reaching thousands, tens of thousands of people at the click of a button. And for them to react to what you say…at the touch of a button? Imagine the power that this gives you and how that power can help you achieve what you believe in.

Imagine if Gandhi had the internet…

You do! And socialgandhi can help you use it.

Same principles of truth, respect, justice, equality, democracy. New world.

If you believe in

  • Real freedom of speech and information
  • Respect for differences of culture, beliefs and opinion
  • Equality of rights for everyone regardless of age, ability, creed or colour
  • Respect for our planet
  • The power of individuals to change things

… use socialgandhi and the power of the new media to show the real power of the people.

Join us in the conversation.

Join us in the revolution now.

Throughout my life, I have always looked to Mahatma Gandhi as an inspiration, because he embodies the kind of transformational change that can be made when ordinary people come together to do extraordinary things. That is why his portrait hangs in my Senate office: to remind me that real results will come not just from Washington – they will come from the people.
